About the job

An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a senior-level Tractor and Farm Machinery Salesperson to take the lead at a flagship dealership serving the Adelaide Plains, Barossa, and Mid North regions. This is a strategic role designed for an industry heavyweight ready to reclaim market share and manage a high-potential territory across broadacre, horticulture, and viticulture sectors.

Representing several world-class brands, you will drive the sale of premium harvesters, sprayers, and high-horsepower tractors. Beyond traditional sales, you will be the local expert in Precision Ag technology, helping clients integrate digital tools and performance kits to optimise their operations. As the senior member of the sales team, you will also play a pivotal role in mentoring junior staff as the department expands.

Role responsibilities:
  • Lead sales activities for new and used machinery across a diverse regional territory.
  • Educate customers on Precision Ag hardware and digital data management tools.
  • Conduct high-impact on-farm demonstrations to showcase agronomic value.
  • Evaluate used equipment accurately for trade-in purposes.
  • Mentor and upskill junior sales representatives to build a high-performing team.
  • Maintain comprehensive CRM data and stay ahead of competitive market trends.
Required skills:
  • Extensive senior-level experience in agricultural machinery sales.
  • Deep technical knowledge of harvesters and broadacre farming equipment.
  • Proven ability to build immediate credibility with a sophisticated client base.
  • Proficiency in using digital sales tools and integrated technology applications.
  • Strong leadership qualities with a proactive, "can-do" approach to business growth.
The package includes a base salary of up to $90,000 (negotiable for "expert" candidates), a lucrative commission structure with an OTE of around $170k+ (uncapped), and a guaranteed commission for the right professional. Tools of trade include a company vehicle, laptop, and phone.
